RoyalHorses

Forged deep in the Piney Woods of South Mississippi, Royal Horses embodies the very best of what the region has to offer.

Featuring lyric-driven melodies that pay respect to the musical genres that helped shape the New South including 70’s rock, early blues, rockabilly, and folk, Royal Horses has managed to create a name for themselves the old-fashioned way – one high-energy performance at a time.

Simply put, Royal Horses commands a stage like none other. The result is a gritty, yet powerfully-unique sound built on the strength of Shelby Kemp’s incredible vocals, Kenny Paul Mann’s driving bass lines, and Daniel Firth’s rock-steady rhythm.

Their much-anticipated debut album, A Modern Man’s Way to Improve, is available now on Okemah Roads Records (LP only.)

Gravity Tractor is Benji Alford, Kennon Barton, Will Berry, and Jay McIlwain. Since 2016, the group has been writing, arranging, and recording original music out of Pascagoula, MS. With 14+ original songs, the group is excited to perform live on the MS Gulf Coast.

Alabama natives and continental vagabonds, The Underhill Family Orchestra—a 5-piece Progressive Americana Pop outfit has sought to push their own boundaries musically, physically, mentally and emotionally since the release of their 2018 album Tell Me That You Love Me, bringing their sound to new cities and new faces from New York to San Francisco, ATL to LA, and everywhere in between.

Taking this same dedicated approach, they have vowed to take their “outright anthemic,” “more-please music” through the trenches of new attitudes, concepts, and fresh ideas without sacrificing their noted “smiles-all-around good time” or “feisty” take on the sounds they labor [bring into existence?], creating “chemical reactions that are a pleasure to behold.”

Taking their compositions to “idyllic places” that make you want to “paint your face, forget your age, and kiss a stranger” remains the goal. The “bare-knuckled nature” of their sound and command of the “intricate, melancholy and densely literate” themes in the songs they create invoke a “sense of riot” with their arm-swingin’, foot-stompin’, Appalachia-inspired sound that fuses “sheer pop catchiness” with “rootsier, grittier elements” remains the result.

Sam Donald and Elise Thornton are a force to be reckoned with as two of the four piece, Whiskey Kiss. Sam Donald on lead guitar has come from several southeast touring bands such as Waiting for Brantley and Together Tomorrow. Sam has opened for acts such as Theory of a Dead Man, Saliva, Pop Evil, Maroon 5, Neon Trees, PapaRoach and Hoobastank. Front lady Elise Thornton has been in groups such as Shades of Green, The Glitter Boys, and has played with singer songwriter Karen Waldrop. The two of them together is NOT to be missed!
